I have always been inspried by the M3. The style, the design, the stance, handling capability, all of it. I had the chance to drive the new M3 at the local BMW dealership, drive for cancer. I was just simply amazed and how much torque it had with four people in it still.

Congrats sir! Very jealous. Absolutely miss my e90 M3!
Thinking about doing an European Delivery on the new M3. Depends if they get the motor right on that thing because the V8 M3 is so responsive and just amazed me.

S4,
For me, this is one of the best threads EVER, because I am precisely in the market for either a 2011 or '12 ISF or a 2010 or '11 M3. So this thread is absolutely priceless, hearing all the subtle differences between the two. Many thumbs up. I am still leaning towards M3, but all the great comments in this thread have me re-considering an F. Sounds like the 2012 F has some significant tweaks even beyond the 2011.
For me, neither car will be a DD, but either will be expected to take long 500+ mile trips 4 or 5 times/year. So, I don't necessarily need a great DD, I need a car that is just exquisite to drive (and to look at).
Hmmmm....
We'll see.
Again, many thanks for this thread, I will refer to it often.

^You can't go wrong with either car in my honest opinion. Price isn't really an issue since they are all relative in this group. Just look at what is important to you and pick from there.
For me it's the fold down rear seats, road feel, extra trunk room and 5-passenger seating that did it for me. I wish the M3 came with Brembo brakes and had a touchscreen Navi but those are minor things.
ISF gets the nod on MPG, both cars have glorious exhaust notes with the proper aftermarket system!
Looks is 100% subjective and can be modded to look super nice so that's a draw.....
g'luck - my buddy is picking up a white IS-F so look for a photoshoot and he will chime in some thoughts I'm sure eventually as he drove my old IS-F and my new M3 too.
