Actually Blueprint I have been ripping them since they announced the we are too lazy to put a new motor in our key enthusiast cars (GS and IS)
When the Q50 hybrid hits the street with AWD, what will Lexus have to sell against that
When the 5 liter V8 Genesis comes out, tell me the GS won' have more problems in the segment than it has now
We will also have an improved CTS with a TT V6 in the market within a year
So back to you, tell me how well the new GS is positioned for success (I am not baiting here, just standing my ground)

GS will probably get the 8 speed and maybe a different engine as a part of the mid cycle refresh. If the rumors are true, we might also see the GS-F which should be the answer to V8 Genesis and everything else in that category.

I am just pushing my point as I believe the refresh should be for the 14 MY (doubt that is gonna happen)
The GS F should be sweet when we see it but Hyundai could be a disruptive player if they really beef up the driving dynamics and interior quality of the Genesis sedan and massage 450 or more hp out of the big Tau motor
The current Genesis sedan with that motor lists for under $50k and if they bump that up to $55K for the next gen car, that would be an interesting value proposition against.GS F at something like $80K

Edit: Sorry for the post I saw this on Flipboard today and did not know he was being moved to Japan. So he's not leaving Lexus.
