I've seen that more from BMW jocks (particularly those in M-models) than from those driving Lexus products. While not universal, many of them think the road belongs to them.

There are so many Toyotas and Hondas on the roads they'd be doing the peace sign (or whatever T or H sign) so often that it would hurt. Lol!

That would be a good Lexus greeting, but taking your hand off the steering like that to greet someone might result in a collision. But then again, some Lexuses have that Pre-Collision System option :^)

Geez! Didn't you get the Bulletproof Windshields option? You gotta ask for the Los Angeles Custom Package

But on a more serious note:
"... they offer five levels of armor retrofits. Level 2 is designed to stop bullets from a pistol. Level 3 should block automatic weapons fire from an Uzi or other sub-machine gun. The Porsche is getting a Level 4 bulletproofing that's rated to stop rounds from AK-47 and M-16 assault rifles."

the corvette wave is well known....there is no particular method to it, just some sort of acknowledgement by both drivers
