In all fairness that's not "totally" out of line. This is a fullsize sedan, and regardless of image or badge this is how the Charger stacks up against a fullsize 7-Series sedan

Charger 4400lbs 199.9in (SRT8)
7-Series 4575lbs 199.7in (750i)

I agree that the Plum Crazy (In-Violet in Plymouth-speak) and the Tor-Lime Green were the two best colors overall, but the original Super Bees of the late 60s were mostly done in the classic yellow (Lemon Twist) with black decals, with maybe a couple of other colors offered. The Purple, Lime-Green, Hemi-Orange, and bright red were mostly done (as extra-cost colors), on the Challenger, Demon, Charger R/T, and, of course, the Daytona with the large wing. (and comparable Plymouth models, of course). Another difference was that the original Super Bee was essentially a coupe version of the 4-door Coronet mid-sized family-sedan, while the original Charger was a Coronet-based specialty-coupe that was actually more of a very large, long-hood/fastback pony-car. The high-performance Dodge group was known as the Scat Pack; and the Plymouths, Rapid Transit.

However, I have seen a few new Chargers (and Challengers) with the Plum Crazy paint on it. The factory, because of demand, has done some limited-production ones here and there. In fact, I almost ordered a Challenger R/T in the purple when the factory was doing it a couple of years ago, but then decided not to for several reasons.

Its a full size car. A Tahoe, which is shorter in length weighs about 5700lbs. Cars today are way too heavy, I owned this 1991 Cadillac and it weighed 4200lbs. It was the size of an aircraft carrier, way bigger than the 4400lb Charger.
