I like it! Only thing I don't like is the odd 2 spoke steering wheel.

This is way more car than the LS. For way more money too. As to the interior lighting, I don't see how one strip under the dash wood can take the cake over all the lighting in the S Class...

Hmmmmm, I still have to think about this one... the front is e-class...the rear is is squeezed up cls... the steering wheel and the quad a/c vents are kinda blowing it for me a little too. You can tell that the way they took the pictures of the interior they were trying to hide those 2 elements... I don't think I a fan, yet...

a lot of maybach feel to it. i am ok with the styling, not as aggressive as w221 which i thought was a bit too bold.

the interior looks really good, just still not sure about the steering wheel and the dash

Finally, a new Benz exterior design that looks GOOD! This is the first new Benz exterior that I've liked since the E Class redesign and C Class refresh. Everything else has been utterly disappointing.

As usual, some people here are misunderstanding the point of the S Class and the point of this design. It's NOT supposed to be aggressive! This is the S Class, the MOST understated, conservative, and elegant Benz. It always HAS been and always will be.

The interior style though is disappointing, not a fan of the curvy swoopy styling at all. Technology is great, and materials and craftsmanship look great too.

I'm also puzzled why some here are praising the gimmicky interior lighting. For me, the lighting is too much. The car interior doesn't need to look like a neon light show, or LED Christmas tree.

Yes this does look more luxurious than the refreshed 2013 LS, but that's not the proper comparison. Let's wait for the next-gen LS to debut which will be the TRUE competitor to the new S Class. I'm expecting the next-gen LS to be out of this world.

And yes, the new S Class is indeed a total redesign, it is not a refresh.

Love the interior, just simply gorgeous. Too bad that smily steering wheel made it into production.

I can hear Lexus scrambling hard trying to copy that interior/exterior styling all the way in Japan now. Hopefully they skip the smily steering wheel

Yeah, no. Lexus has their own source of inspiration in the gorgeous LF-LC interior.

S-Class looks amazing, great job MB

Looks modern, classy, sporty, great presence - all in one package.

Interior looks of great quality.

If MB continues to be reliable like the current generation model - it will have no weaknesses.

It looks good to me. I don't like the front ends of the other new Mercedes but this new S-class looks great. If I was super rich I'd get an S600/S65. That V12 is a monster!

^^It's a German company called Burmester. It's also an option on new Porsche models.

the S class (or any mercedes In its relative class IMO) has such a sense of occasion when you drive it or when one pulls up. Love this S class. Hopefully the price wont change too much

Exterior looks pretty good but does not look like the big flagship it normally looks like and seems more like what the poorly styled E class should look like. The interior does look very nice though I don't see any real good pics of the whole front dash yet.

I have to say... M.B did a nice job on the S-class. I guess after killing off the Maybach, they decided to make the S-class more refined.

Now if only, the back of the LS could be like that.

It is interesting to see Burmester in M.B now. Seeing they first were in the Bugatti, after a few Porsches (doesn't seem like they have that option anymore).
