i think that's a stretch. the interiors of the current ES and RX, lexus 2 best sellers, don't feel that luxurious to me, or far superior to everything else.

The ES & RX are bread & butter models. While they don't represent Lexus true potential. They are better than their direct rivals.
As mentioned above. If you want quality & craftsmanship you have to step up to the GS and above. The IS has a good interior also.
Sorry but go look at an ML with the diamond stitched designo interior.......... rx is not even in the ball park which sparks the bigger convo, people want bespoke everything, give us more options!

That option in ML is $4.6k just for the leather.... ML350 can get to almost $80k fully equipped.
RX interior is pretty "meh" to me, but I still like the ES a lot, as an entry level car. That RX dashboard never quite worked for me, and there is a lack of wood/leather in my eyes.
Looking forward to the next RX...should be nice, and not too far off
The RX interior is well built and so beyond original to the bland interiors in most anything else. It should be highly regarded for being so original and forward thinking.
The ML interior still looks like it has a little DaimlerChrysler legacy in it(or maybe Fiat took some "cues" from it when they redid things for Dodge) - I think the 1980s-1990s were the better years for Mercedes, the Teutonic era suited them well. Granted, the RX's interior shares cues with the Sienna and Venza.
As much as I think Audis are more or less a glorified VW, Ingolstadt knows how to make an interior.
I was thinking the same. The shapes and bulges look very chrysler/dodge, with wood slapped on.
I will never understand why people think Chrysler influenced Mercedes interior design. The ML's interior looks like everything else Mercedes is putting out right now.

I would say that's definitely not true in the upper price ranges, but sure dollar for dollar Lexus may have the edge on the lower end of the luxury ranges. But to call Lexus the "gold standard" and that Lexus interiors are "far superior to anything else" is just wrong.
