when i was a dealer, there were plenty of moments when I said to my guys - duh, why dont they just ask us? We deal with the customers, they dont.

I dont see how will NX be cheaper than IS though. Unless you want less options, so "fully loaded" costs less. And then you will complain why you dont get all the cool stuff :-))))).

If we look and 3 series pricing and X1/X3 pricing, pretty much says everything.

RX450h is $65k... stands to reason that loaded NX300h is $50k then. Thats quite seizable difference.

And plus, now when I think about it... quite likely we will get smaller than NX suv as well... because nothing else makes sense after seeing that CTh mule (CTh and Rav4 have different wheelbases).

I'm just thinking, thank god their asking us, cause otherwise the NX will come out and Lexus would wonder why sales are so slow.

That said, I think a base NX should be roughly $36,000 and loaded up to about $46,000. A comparably equipped NX should be about $42,000 on average

The average NX should be around 40,000 . Sell price should be around 36,000. The 300h shall be average of 50,000, sell price around 45,000. That shall be in league of Q5. Cheaper to compete with Q3

The sell price is not the only thing though. The power curve is another story.

The Q3 RS is 350 hp and will weight around 600-800 lbs less due to new aluminum frame and light weight stuff. RS Q3 is priced around 55,000 estimatedly. But Audi has more standard features

With that said. If an 300h powered around 350 hp for that price and still good on mpg. Lexus has another winner for sure

well it is 300h though... quite likely 46k would mean missing some options artificially just to keep the price of fully loaded model down... just like IS F-Sport.

I really doubt SUV will be cheaper than both IS and ESh... that just does not happen in this industry.

I will bet anything that Euro version will have a lot more stuff and be more expensive than IS 300h.

You're dreaming a bit much. The Hybrid will likely be the 2.5L ES300h power train at 200hp. The NX will be meant for efficiency not performance. The NX200t should have roughly 240hp fr those that want extra oomph. This won't be an NX-F.

Assuming base NX's "start" at $37,000 a comparably equipped one would sticker for about $42,000 roughly. A hybrid based on the ES setup would be roughly $2000 more than that.

Hybrids will probably be $2000 more than petrol versions regardless of base price or comparably equipped models. A completely fully loaded petrol NX should not be more than $46000 otherwise the whole point of adding the NX the Lexus ute lineup will be lost.

And of course the Euro version will be nicer. Y'all will get the powerfolding mirrors and panoramic options we can only dream about

Spwolf...I had no idea an rx450h was 65k. Dealer in my area have them listing for 56k to 58k. What's included in a 65k model? Prices should be lower with the moves in the yen... 65k will get you a loaded gx460 premium with rear seat entertainment. Most expensive rav4 within 75 miles of me is 33k. What features will be included for the extra 17k to bring the total to 50k?

That is GLK territory, which makes perfect sense.

An Audi Q5 Premium Plus stickers around 42k. BMW X1 starts at 31k, with most options in FWD form doesn't go much above 40k. Shouldn't the NX200t in base/FWD form start around 30-32k, topping in non-hybrid form around 40-45k?

X1 is lower model than NX.

Audi Q5 Hybrid starts at $50k.

NX200t will start at 30k, when Lexus becomes Acura... until then, it will be more expensive just like ES is more expensive than Camry.

$65k is for model with HUD and all of the rest. It is top end model for US market.

Lets hope that most expensive NX will have all the equipment that Lexus should have, plus hybrid engine, plus Japanese production... as such, it will be priced same as Camry vs Lexus ES, I would guess.... difference is pretty similar - plus Camry already has the same engine, while Rav4 has cheaper engine options only.

In reality, this model is built for Europe and Asia... so if you guys think that you will get it at Rav4 price, and $20k cheaper than Q5, then I guess RX will continue as sales champion.

What they could do, is what they often do in US, is limit the option choices and make it artificially limited to $45k... but what will happen on CL THEN is all these same people will complain how come there is no option for HUD, no option for real leather, no option for this and that, like we have right now for 3IS. Well, this is why ;-)

If we look at all the pricing from German competition, then it is pretty clear what the price of NX will have to be. And thats pretty similar to IS.
