Its a FWD Nissan with their dubious CVT transmission. I can see a lot of people cussing these things 3-4 years after they buy them and rack up 100k+ miles. Nissan's FWD products are turds IMO and that CVT transmission has a history of failing prematurely in Altimas, Sentras, etc.

Default Chevy City Express headed for dealers

City Express Begins Making Its Way to Dealerships
2014-10-23

DETROIT – Chevrolet's all-new 2015 City Express cargo van, with a starting price of $22,950, began shipping to dealerships today.

Drivers looking for cargo hauling flexibility with efficiency, and fleet managers who want value-driven capability with lower operating costs than full-size vans, are now able to purchase the vehicle for their specific needs.

"Our existing customers will love getting behind the wheel of the City Express when it's at their Chevrolet dealership," said Ed Peper, U.S. vice president, GM Fleet & Commercial. "But we're most looking forward to giving potential new customers the opportunity to experience one of many Chevrolet commercial vehicles that best fit their needs."

To make the shopping and purchasing process easier and more convenient, Chevrolet offers web tools on Chevrolet.com that provides customization options for potential buyers.

"We understand our customers are often too busy to step away from the office to visit a dealership," said Peper. "So we give them the option to build a City Express online with their specific color, trim, and even wheels, so that they are fully aware of the cost to their business before they meet with a salesperson."

Buyers also can compare the City Express to other vehicles in the marketplace to see how it stacks up in areas like fuel economy, pricing, and safety.

The City Express will be a part of Business Choice, an incentive program that provides qualified business owners a $350 Upfit Cash allowance. Chevrolet also will offer customers ship-thru service, which sends the vehicle directly to an upfitter from the plant and the upfit vehicle is delivered directly to the dealer once complete. The ship-thru process makes it simple and convenient to upfit the City Express to meet the specific needs of the business.

City Express will be covered by Chevrolet Complete Care, which includes scheduled maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, 5 Years/100,000 Miles of 24-Hour roadside assistance and courtesy transportation and it's covered under Chevrolet's five-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, as well as a three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty.

Editors' Note: Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price includes destination freight charge but excludes tax, title, license, dealer fees and optional equipment.

I'd just like to say, the Nissan makes an amazing taxi. In NYC, they're not much to look at, but inside, they are roomy, have a panoramic roof, sliding doors open wide, and since they're so narrow, the cabbies seem to squeeze and maneuver these things amazingly. The ride is much more comfy than the older Crown Vics and even the newer Altimas. Very functional little car.

I'm sure they were happy to get that contract. I personally like the look of the Ford Transit Connect the best of the three (other two being Nissan Taxi van, and City Express), but market for small vans seems to be booming. Good for transportation and business

Yeah, i liked the exterior of the Ford best, too, but after sitting in the Nissan, I'm sold. It's my favorite yellow cab. The panoramic roof is brilliant especially in NYC.
