Getting rid of my IS350, should I get an M5, S4, or IS-F?

by comparison, from what i read, the e39 m5 is quite reliable. it's more pure and raw so to speak, only 6 speed so no smg nightmare. and less electronics too

Suggest an Audi S6 or the newer S4 with the 3.0t engine
The brand reliability is not consistent to the models (i.e. the S6 has better reliability than Audi does and the m5 has lower scores than BMW does)
How did you rack up 9k in Lexus engine repairs?

it really begs the question of how much power and technology is really necessary just because the vehicle can be outfitted as such?

Well, at first back then I was stuck between an IS350 or 328xi. I went with the IS even though it was $3K more but I wanted the extra power and the reliability. But to me, 10 dealer visits in 20K miles with $5K in repairs is quite a bit. Now with my engine needing to be rebuilt, it's $5-6K in parts and another $4K in labor. That's going to be almost $15K in repairs only having owned the car for 20K miles. The repairs will be almost the amount I paid for the car.
