it is 2x price difference, Excelle is Corolla like car and Buick is Toyota like brand in China. Doesnt have anything to do with Lexus.
I obviously haven't had a chance to review or drive a Chinese-spec Excelle, but I own an American-spec Verano, and, believe me, it's a LONG way from a Corolla.

Asia or America, Lexus does have at least one advantage over Buick. Despite some minor quality-lapses after 2005-2006, and some unusual exceptions like the GS300/350 AWD, Lexus has consistantly built vehicles with stellar reliability records. The same, unfortunately, cannot be said for Buick, though some of their recent vehicles seem far better-built than just a few years ago.
