Default 900+HP Supra owner tells why he feels you can want too much

This appeared on Jalopnik this morning. A guy who wanted the perfect Supra started with a 400bhp car and kept wanting more until he felt he'd gone too far because, as we're all aware, someone is ALWAYS going to be faster than you are no matter what state of tune your car is in.

I think he did a pretty good job with his video, too. Enjoy!

Yeah i saw this also, this is one of the main reasons why i got an SC400, im content with its abilities and im not hellbent to be the fastest thing on wheels. His car is in the shop now and it sucks to see how he went down the beaten path.

You get past the geekiness in this guy's voice very fast and he really sums it up well at the end. A two decade old car that can trounce 90% of the cars on the road today in 0-60 and roll-ons that you aren't happy with....is your problem. Not the cars. Almost poetic. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, what an inspiring and honest story of a true enthusiast. His F&F lines were hilarious too lol.

Unless you are Racing it in the Track, or attend every Race for Rewards and Trophy. You are just wasting your money to chase number. Period.

He felt that way only because his car is so unreliable...had he able to have 900hp with stock reliability he'd want even more power.

Nice video, cool story. The more you mod it, they more it become unpractical for daily!

I always loved that model Supra, finding one well kept up is difficult. wonder how much dough he has sunk into it so far...

Learned my lesson all too well after my SC300 na-t caught on fire in the quest for more power. That car was a money pit but so fun to drive. I still love fast and powerful cars and still would like to buy a high horsepower car in the next few years, but as far as modding goes, I hope I won't.
