This is huge for Honda. I'd jump on this if I was in the market and could afford one.
This has to be putting a lot of pressure on Toyota. With a conventionally shaped mid-size sedan able to come close to the wedge shaped Prius? Almost doesn't seem possible. The next Prius needs to be at least 55 COMBINED. They've already stated their goal of 55 (not sure if combined).

Looks promising. Now, lets see how well Honda and Honda dealers can ruin it by not making enough and charging sticker or over sticker.

more like $35K I bet.
what I'm curious about is the battery warranty - I saw on their site it says 'Battery-pack limited warranty may vary.'
found this from years ago....not sure if it's still valid.
Honda's hybrid battery pack comes with an 8-year/80,000-mile warranty, or a 10-year/150,000-mile warranty if you happen to live in California, or a dozen other states, as well as the District of Columbia.

I wish they found a way to put the batteries below the car like Tesla does.
The only thing holding me back from buying a hybrid is the useless trunk, which was measured to be about 8 cubic feet, with no pass-through. The accord hybrid at $28000 would be a good deal considering the fuel savings over 15 years would put you way ahead by that time.
