This thread is over 8 years old. You should check on the 7th Gen ES forum to see what ES buyers are seeing. Good luck with your search.

Why is the focus on larger dealerships?

Congratulations on your upcoming Christmas/Holiday present. And welcome to CL as a new poster. That's quite a way to join a forum......with a brand-new vehicle.

You are kinda in luck, as Lexus is focusing on their biggest sellers due to the supply chain shortages. RX and ES. RX hybrids are sold as soon as they come up on the dealer's build list.
Stevens Creek Lexus is huge, but their deals are so-so.
If you want the best deal in the SF Bay Area, call Putnam Lexus in Redwood City. Ask for David Jenner, store manager. Tell him Jeff Keryk sent you.
Good luck. Putnam Lexus

Agree on Putnam Lexus. We found them much easier to work with than Lexus of Stevens Creek.

Check out the ES forum for the model year you are interested in. You should find a thread or two in there for recent prices/purchases. Good luck!

I bought my IS350 at Newport Lexus, nicest dealer I have been to.

More selection at larger dealers. But having bought over 10 vehicles in my life, larger dealers tend to be on more of a take it or leave it approach when it comes to negotiating a price. Smaller dealers tend to give a little wiggle room.

In the leasing forums the ES is still discounting at 4.5-5.25%. Thats should be a doable baseline.
