Rented a BMW...

Very true, and not just Ferrari. Seems at least for those realm of cars everything has improved vastly

Eight occurrences of the word "badge" in this thread already, oops NINE.
I've sampled a number of the F30's at a BMW test drive event and there are definitely some cheap bits in some of the cars with certain trims, but I'd hardly generalize. If you want to say that the 3er interior is a bit low rent for a luxury car I won't disagree, but I'd also hardly call it a "cheap" interior. Want to see cheap? You need only look at a bunch of the Toyota interiors these days. If having a super nice and luxurious interior is your thing, skip the Audi too and go straight for the Benz C-class.
Hmm... so slightly cheap interior = no other reason to buy a BMW. It's all for the badge (TEN). lol okay.

I've driven it a few times and its funny how overseas the RHD 320 I drove is perceived as an amazing luxury vehicle but here its the base model. Its still a great car but the BMW edge isn't there which is fine .All those years people beat the **** outta Lexus for being a little softer and I was a happy owner.
If you want to be mad at BMW for going softer b/c BMW shouldn't be I understand but its still a great car.
