Lexus GS F sightings (updated pg 20)
#302
Great. It will be slower than Germans, but also significantly cheaper. If this get 500 PS, we know RC F can get 500 PS. Well in fact over 540 PS, and over 650 PS with TMG twin-turbos.

Not saying the GS F can achieve that same feat, but saying that you can't just go by HP numbers alone.

Thank you for sharing. This is quite exciting. Engineers said when the RC F info started hitting that the 5.0 still had more power to be had. And a rumored FI version will likely grace models more expensive than the GS. I CANNOT wait to see the GS / GS F in full spindle attire and in Obsidian black. Saving my pennies now

i doubt the latter, and given the small wheel openings the wheels can't be much bigger without having rubber band type tires which suck for performance (and ride).

I wouldn't say it's a half assed attempt. The Audi S6 provides "only" 420 hp and is regarded pretty well even with respect to the full fledged M and AMG models. It even beat the M5 and E63 in this comparo. http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...audi-s6-page-4

Now look at this way, the s6 is cheaper won some comparison and still sells like ****. Horsepower is king when you are buying performance cars.
If Lexus wants to make splash in this super competitive market they need to give this car 550hp. When everything your competing with makes closer to 600 than 500 hp you are not going to turn any heads nor will you get amg or m to switch to the brand.

only 500hp? that is a LOT of power, and power delivery and drivetrain efficiency matters too, not just engine output.

I dislike it on the RCF and I also dislike it here, how the air intake (fog light area) swoops up at such a high angle. This adds to the cartoonish look of the RCF. I know they took it from the LFA but still

I hear you. The superior border of the fog light area should have been made parallel to the inferior border of the the headlights. I think that would have flowed a lot better.
