I used to say the same thing until this new generation came out. Its stunning. You will see when you see it in person. The magazine pics do it no justice ( of course I am assuming that you have not seen in the flesh )

 

Regardless of whether the Vette may be a better Value, Porsche is still Porsche and as long as it carries that shield they'll be fine.

The base numbers like $52,000, 29mpg HWY, 455hp/460lbft, and 0-60 3.8sec for the Vette does have to make people double take though
