If you are making 25k a year, then you're likely going to be financing the car whether you buy it new or used. As I showed before, it works out to about the same cost per year used or new, so whats the reason to buy it used?

few pay $20k out of pocket in one payment when buying a car. a new civic can be leased for $200/mo. so now you're talking $2400/yr for 2-3 years.

even if it's bought, with decent credit, and say $10k down/trade, 4 year loan at 3%, that's $221/mo. or $2652/year.
