You just don't get it do you. The accidental bumping was not avoidable. There was no where to go. There were thugs on all sides. You can't ride a few feet in front of a 6000lbs SUV then do a brake check and expect the SUV to stop. The reaction time from seeing the bike brake checking to actually applying the foot on the brake pedal is what... 1/2 sec? From the vid it seems like SUV was doing maybe 30mph. 1/2 sec reaction time alone is already takinding the RR to travel 22 feet not counting the time and distance to actually slowing down the 6000lbs SUV at 30mph.

So yeah, Ive seen it up close and personal..50-100 deep @ times. wrong as two left shoes...

Were the bikers wrong...yes. but just because one is right (and one is wrong) doesnt mean the story is going to end on a happy note.

This is real life for all those involved, not sum internet forum full of "if that were me" type hypothetical posting.

IF YOU ARE IN THAT SITUATION, LET THEM PASS...DONT LAY ON THE HORN,DONT GET MAD AND BUMP THEIR BIKE BECAUSE THEYRE TRYING TO ILLEGALLY STOP TRAFFIC.

at the end of the day...So what if youre "right"?....youre hurt, your family is hurt (couldve been dead) and none of the billy badasses of the internet will have your back when reality meets the internet.

Not defending either side, both share sum blame...
So Being "Right" was not going to save this guy...being smart will.

Im sittin here tellin u whats up...and people are focused on right/wrong.
People can talk all they want online, so take it how u want...
You are obviously unable to comprehend what other are saying in this thread. You above answer does not address any of those posts above. It is like you are a horse with blinkers on, only able to see in one direction.

@ DriftGirl
All the bikes can outrun the RR. Let them pass? is this a joke? idiots pacing the SUV. Blocking off the road. Brake checking the suv. Terrorizing the man and his family. You want sympathy for this act? the driver did a great job. Plowing scums to save his family.

i think half a year to a year's worth of therapy and counselling would be more important, getting the crap beaten out of you must give him nightmares now.

DriftGirl and what the other's are talking about two different things.

there are situations where when others (bikers or other motorists) are clearly in the wrong, acting a fool, racing, doing whatever. you are obviously pissed off about their behavior which is endangering and inconveniencing you and your occupants. in some of these situations, YES, you have an opportunity to ignore it, avoid the fray and "let them pass." you can just swallow your pride, move away, let things go and not be "billybadass" and try and teach them a lesson.

HOWEVER, in this situation, these bikers clearly instigated, created, and essentially gave the RR driver one choice: slow down and take your beating, to which he said 'screw you, i'm out' and gunned it. if you can't see that and comprehend that from the vid and other information, there really isn't much more to discuss.

Appearance is everything, whether you like it or not.

Comparing the picture of some of the riders vs that of the SUV couple, I would believe the couple when they say they feared for their lives.

It's funny how Mieses' wife says Mieses was trying to help. She wasn't even there. How would she know? He was trying to help........ help bash in the windows?

Look at the aftermath pics below. The wife's window was bashed in. There wasn't just one person bashing the windows with his helmet. You can also see the other knucklehead bashing the rear glass.

The question is, when was the wife's window bashed in? Was it right after the lovetap that started all this?

I hope gloria allred gets a whole lotta egg on her face if this goes to trial. No jury would side with the bikers here.

here is a statement from the wife of the RR driver:

via: http://blog.angryasianman.com/2013/1...otorcycle.html

Our plan last Sunday was to celebrate our wedding anniversary by having a nice family day out with our two-year-old daughter. Unfortunately, instead, we were placed in grave danger by a mob of reckless and violent motorcyclists.

Our sympathies go out to the injured motorcyclist and his family. However, we were faced with a life-threatening situation, and my husband was forced under the circumstances to take the actions that he did in order to protect the lives of our entire family. Our fear for our lives was confirmed when the incident ended with the ruthless and brutal attack on my husband, me, and, most importantly, our two-year-old child. We know in our hearts that we could not have done anything differently, and we believe that anyone faced with this sort of grave danger would have taken the same course of action in order to protect their family.

We would like to thank the brave citizens who risked their own safety to intervene on our behalf. They truly helped save our lives and prevented my husband from suffering further injury. We also appreciate and are moved by the outpouring of love and support so many have expressed here in New York and around the country.

We would ask that the public and the media to respect our privacy at this difficult time and allow my husband to recover from his injuries. From here on forward we would ask that any further inquires regarding this unfortunate incident be directed to our lawyers Nicholas J. Massimo and Frank C. Panetta.

Here's Christopher Cruz, the idiot who started this whole thing.

When you're grumpy you're whole life, it shows on your face.

When you've been stupid and useless your whole life, it also shows on your face.

See exhibit A below-

I find it absolutely crazy that any reasonable person that saw the video of the incident and then read the other facts in this matter would in anyway defend the bikers or place ANY sort of blame on the RR driver.

One of the reasons i love Club lexus, people who actually have experience or are in the profession (ex. law, medicine, tech. ect.) in many discussion threads actually give good insight and perspective and completely shut down people who think they know what they are talking about (in this case some people who ride motorcycles) and give them 100 reasons why they are wrong haha. Not just this thread, but in general. I hope the guy in RR doesn't get charged, that would be insane. Also, as other people have said, image means a lot. Many people will side with the SUV driver versus the bikers, the video shows a lot. The media doesn't need to portray the bikers as "thugs and hoodlums" anymore then the bikers did in the video..

If there were any bikers who weren't such hoodlums and thugs, they would've intervened (unless they feared they would get their a$$ kicked also).

Those pictures above clearly showed the passenger's window smashed in

Props to those 2 gentlemen (and probably more?) above at the scene
