anyway.. i have a 98 gs4 that i purchased in 2002 w/ 67k..
the car now has 181k w/ no major problems.. besides the usual maintainance.. the only minor thing i had to replace were the ball joints at 100k
i plan on doing the 90k service at the end of the year
anyway.. i love these kinda stories.. it gives me hope to keep my car til 300k!

Original owner of 2000 RX 300 all wheel California car. Just passed 180,000 miles and second timing belt change out. Following all maintenance schedules as per recommended at the local Toyota dealer. Except for an air conditioner condenser failure at 27,000 miles under warranty, all parts are original with no leaks.
It has towed pontoon boat, motorcycle trailer, and utility trailer loaded with wood. Even in the heat of the Mojave Desert pulling the motorcycle trailer with Harley on board at 108 degrees, the temperature gauge never changed a bit with a/c set at 74 degrees.
Will keep posts going as the years go by.

I have a 92 SC300 with right under 215k and STILL running strong. Got the car with 180k miles on her and just had to do regulalr maintenance and bought her a few treats (Rims / wheels, Subs + Amp, etc.)

Boy, this is an old thread but fun to read. I bought my 1990 LS 400 used in 1995 with 53,000 miles on it. We'll pass 255,000 miles before the month of July is over. It's still the best car I've ever owned and I'll live with the minor inconveniences as long as it puts up with me.

When i snagged my SC 400 from missouri last year i had it lexus certified...the guy told me that the engine will last over 250,000 miles if i just keep maintaining the car in its current condition it could go to 500,000 miles. i said 500,000 miles?...he said yeah!..he said that the dealers nationwide get together and talk about some of the cars they service and they claimed that Chicago has the most Lexus's with high miles..he said there are atleast 10 that he knows of that have over 500,000 miles...he said you will have no problem getting your car to 250,000 miles. i also learned that even Bill Gates has a lexus with over 250,000 miles...lol and a porsche 959...that he cant drive!...lol

This is not surprising for Japanese cars at all.
Man I used to put 46-48k a year when I lived in LA . Going to school, socializing, and running errands racks up the miles .....especially when you live in LA
