I would have preferred this new front end on the 3IS. It's clean, modern, smooth, stylish, yet not outrageous or off the wall like the IS. This here is a smart styling direction with broader appeal.

They're really refining the spindle grille on each new model and it's getting a lot better.

Coinciding with auto shows taking place in Los Angeles and Tokyo next week will be yet another event, China’s Guangzhou Auto Show, whose doors open on November 21. One of the main attractions pegged for the show will be an updated version of the Lexus CT 200h, which is expected to hit showrooms in the coming weeks, as a 2014 model.
Out of Lexus’ current lineup, the CT 200h is the final model to receive the automaker’s spindle grille treatment, with this being the 1st major update to the car since its launch in 2010. Other exterior changes include newly designed alloy wheels and a revised rear appearance with a more horizontal structure.
Lexus is waiting until the Guangzhou Auto Show gets underway next week to release the rest of the details, so you will have to stay tuned for more. Expect some new trim options and gadgets in the interior and perhaps a slight increase in output from the car’s Lexus Hybrid Drive system. The current CT 200h develops a meager output of 134 horsepower.
Lexus is aware that fans of the CT 200h desire more power but will probably wait until the next generation of the car, due around 2016, before exploring its options.

Too bad Toyota/Lexus won't put DI in its FWD engines so the hypothetical CT300h will have to make do with the ES300h's powertrain, but at this point even that will be a welcome addition to the CT lineup.
