Compared to the prototype car a few weeks ago, this one above looks extremely plain and uninspiring. It's color is also doing it no favors.

Thats the point. The Genesis is a E Class, GS & 5 Series style car for C Class, ES or 3 Series money.
If you notice the Equus is an S Class, LS & 7 series style car for E Class, GS, or 5 Series money.
Again, the fact that people are comparing the interiors here. Huge win for Hyundai...

<here's the (long) video of the entire 'reveal' and interviews with execs, etc.
while not a home run looker, it's a nice package with a ton of improvements over prior one. even the v8 has quite a lot of improvements.

enjoyed the demo of the google search for nav destination.![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
and that lexicon audio system seems baller.

Hyundai needs Genesis to be a hit... their sales dropped last year, one of the very few manufacturers that did worse than before.
Lots of good info in that article in general about sales. Toyora is close to GM in retail sales and does a LOT better than Ford at retail. Ford has crazy amount of fleet sales.
Hyundai-Kia Automotive leaned heavily on fleet sales in 2013 to mitigate falling retail demand, even as most other major automakers trimmed their dependence on nonretail volume.
Hyundai-Kia boosted 2013 fleet volume 45 percent both in December and over the full year. That nearly offset its 6 percent drop in 2013 retail volume. The two South Korean auto brands combined for a full-year total U.S. sales decline of 4,644 units, but it wasn't even: Hyundai's sales rose 3 percent while Kia's fell 4 percent.
By contrast, General Motors, Chrysler Group and Toyota Motor Sales actually reduced the number of vehicles sold to commercial, governmental and daily rental fleet operators. The three also boosted retail sales substantially, with gains ranging from a high of 14 percent at Chrysler to 9 percent at Toyota.

the front end grille is tooo toooo tooo close to the audi grille.
I don't understand why they didn't just run off the original genesis sedan grille. It had a nice original feather like look that was pretty unique. So u figure that would be the cue to run off from. Instead it looks
almost identical to the audi's.

Hyundai need to come up with their own identity instead of copying every luxury maker thats at the top of the list..
Last Gen was better, it got worse now that its a Lexus/Infiniti/Audi whatever..
