Don't think I ever saw a Maserati Press Release Before

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., Nov. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Maserati set a new all-time sales record of 623 units in the month of October, nearly tripling the North American sales total for the same month last year. The introduction of the Quattroporte S Q4, the first All-Wheel-Drive car to be offered by Maserati, helped increase brand sales in the US by over 186% versus Oct, 2012, and by 29% Year-to-Date. In addition, Maserati has already sold more vehicles in 10 months in the US than it sold in all of 2012.

"All-Wheel-Drive is a game changer for Maserati. Not only is it welcome in cold weather markets where this feature is appreciated, S Q4 also provides genuine Maserati performance with added excitement in markets where snow and ice are not an issue," commented Maserati North America, Inc., President and CEO Bob Graczyk.
Continuing its expansion, the Maserati dealer network has reached 77 locations across North America in anticipation of the second all new car to be introduced in 2013, the
mid-sized Ghibli sport sedan.
Powered by a proprietary, twin-turbocharged V-6 Maserati engine producing 345 HP with rear-wheel drive and 404 HP in S Q4 All-Wheel-Drive trim, the Ghibli accelerates from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 176 MPH (S Q4).
The Maserati Ghibli begins arriving in dealerships this month.
About Maserati: Maserati produces a full line of two and four door models legendary for their spacious handcrafted luxury, thoroughbred performance and everyday usability. In 2013, Maserati introduced an all new full-size Quattroporte and the mid-size Ghibli sport sedan. The flagship Quattroporte GTS leads the charge with a 523 HP twin turbo V8 while both the Ghibli and Quattroporte are available with All-Wheel-Drive, a competition bred twin-turbo 404 HP V6 and an adaptive 8 speed automatic transmission. The two door GranTurismo line continues with several variants of coupes and convertibles which combine elegance and comfort for four adults, with a six speed automatic transmission to keep the legendary Maserati performance and exhaust note close at hand. Kia Motors America (KMA) today reported October sales of 39,754 units as the brand’s introduction of 7 all-new or significantly redesigned vehicles this calendar year continued with the arrival of the all-new, 2nd-generation Soul urban passenger vehicle and the 2014 model year Optima midsize sedan.

Looking ahead, all-new 2014 Forte5 and Forte Koup models will begin arriving in showrooms later this month, and the Los Angeles Auto Show will provide the backdrop for the unveiling of the all-new 2015 K900 – a rear wheel drive flagship sedan that will take value to new levels of sophistication.

stay trolling? nice, lol. and yeah, i think that interior is bad and felt extremely cheap. i HAD a subaru in the late '80s, by the way.

Subarus sell because they're AWD, reliable, and get some of the best safety ratings.
translation, they sell well to ex-hippies, tree huggers, anti-establishment hipsters, and those paranoid about a month of bad weather a year.

i know you are joking, but i dont think Subaru's sell to any of those... new interior is a lot better than before, but still not great... nevertheless, lets not pretend other cars in class have much better interiors... they might have shinier interiors but thats about it.

Why would hippy or tree hugger buy a Subaru? I would think they would buy a cool hybrid from Toyota.

3 Series(11714) and 5 Series(5020) and C Class(6548) and E Class(6456) continue to be big sellers.
The A6 with 1638 sales was pretty good too.

I saw a CLA on the street recently and it looks great.

It is not a size smaller than the C class like I thought it would be.

Do folks think the CLA will actually damage C class sales? My guess is yes.

What I love about the current Subie biz is they are ok with 2 completely different customer sets. The generally responsible, conscious and educated Legacy/Forester folks and the performance and driving experience oriented Impreza/BRZ folks.

From this month's numbers it appears to be yes, however one month doesn't mean its a trend. We'll have to see what happens when the new C-Class comes out too. Anyway, it still appears to be a net gain for MB.
