Also had a 1995 Fleetwood, owned it for about 2 years and 10k miles. No problems with that car, but I will agree with you about it being cheaply made. Compared to that 91 the interior was plain, all the chrome and polished stainless bits were chromed plastic, it just didn't feel "special" like my 91.

Paitience. Rumor (and at least some evidence) has a new RX-7 coming in another 2-3 years.

When I was in Mexico, an American friend of mine had an RX7, http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2593985/1993-mazda-rx-7/ and Mazda didn't even exist down there at the time. We always used to play tricks on people that the rotary engine in his car was either A. a helicopter engine and/or B. hand-cranked (and we would even go so far as to have a small hand crank (like with old-fashioned cars) that one of us would go to the front of the car and attempt to hand crank the vehicle just as one of us was staring the car with the key).
Simply priceless that people believed it.

Yes, that was at least partly the case....as with upmarket versions of the competing Toyota Supra, Mitsubushi 3000GT VR4, Nissan 300ZX, and Dodge Stealth Turbo. They were also quite expensive to insure for many young single males and/or drivers with points on their records.
