Toyota Supra / FT-1

Thanks Supra
To my surprise the FT-1 is bigger than the LFA
LFA
L 177.4 in
W 74.6 in
H 48 in
WB 102.6 in
Pricing should be interesting
Nothing on the show car looks cheap (like how can this hit the street at $60-80K)?
To me the 86 looked cheap in concept and looks incredibly cheap in person

That is surprising, it looks smaller to me then the last Supra, the hood must be much longer then it appears in the pics, that just adds more speculation that this car is designed to have a inline 6. It is a 2+2 also. It is getting overall a good to very good reception, hope they build it. 60K twin turbo inline 6 sounds like a winner but I hope it is not a current BMW inline6 if they use one.

I don't really see it aside from just a few details, both cars have very different profiles, proportions, and stances, FT-1 looks nothing like older Supra's where the FT-HS resembled those pre mark 4 older Supra's in the overall looks/proportions. The biggest difference is the long hood and low slung looks of the FT-1.

Yes you are correct, FT-1 has a longer length and wheelbase than FT-HS.
The FT-1 has a long hood like the MK4. Both cars also have big wide hips.

very promising. i wish they toned it down a little. i love overall design direction, love the outrageousness, but some of the design elements are little too over the top for me.
is this a GTR fighter? so probably $100-120k?

Recently i have been wanting a practical family sport car. The STI Failed to impress, the WRX is alright, but if the new Supra is priced like this...i will wait.
Time to save up.
