Default The vehicles that ruled the desert before Toyota killed off the competition
In the earlier days, US vehicles where the most common vehicles in the region, Ford trucks, GM trucks ( still common ) and Dodge trucks. Land Rovers/Range Rovers were very popular as well. Toyota stepped up the game in the 60s/70s/80s and began
dominating the market with the LAND CRUISER and other Toyota vehicles. The LC is what killed Land Rover in AFRICA/AUSTRALIA and the Middle East.

This is what ruled the desert before Toyota took over the market

As always thanks for sharing. Love those classic Fords.

I always get a chuckle at the pictures of herds of Land Cruisers going over dunes. Similar to herds of buffalo. Or even at the gas station aka watering hole

ha even the Toyota Land Cruisers got rusty back then. we've come a long way!
