Lexus IS and IS-F rumors and news

I work at Lexus of Omaha in Omaha, NE. We just had the Lexus Vice President Jeff Bracken at our store for it's grand opening. He was talking to us about future stuff. GS-F is confirmed. He also stated that this next batch of sports cars to wear the F badge will have more than enough power to compete with the Germans. He said " I'm not going to tell you how much power (as he used his finger to draw a # 6 in the air), but it will be more than enough to compete with the BMW M's and AMG's. He also said we are probably going to see an F sport ES when they switch production over to the new plant in Kentucky for next year.
About the F's and power, makes sense. We knew the latest 5.0L V8 was only a bridge engine until the next generation of FI powertrains (TTV6 and TTV8) come to market. And as reported close to a year ago these mills "will be some of the most powerful and efficient on the market". Thanks for sharing.

Mr. Bracken is a great guy. Met him once at a company dinner last year.

Oh, and all you guys that have an "in" with Lexus corporate, tell them: Keep the GS F a FIVE seater! No plastic inserts like on the IS F, please. Some of us need the added practicality.

New Lexus IS F SPORT Commercial: Appearances
In the spirit of the F SPORT commercial released a couple months back, there’s a racy new Lexus IS commercial from the USA:
(I liked it — the “it’s not what it looks like” bit is an old cliché, sure, but it works.)

Here is an awesome IS with a little makeover from the group over at Lexon. We love the look of the regular IS and can't for the new IS-F to start hitting the open road. All credit to SpeedHunters for the awesome photos.
