Although I grew up and hardcore Honda/Acura guy I cant stand their current line up other than the MDX. I will admit that I have never seen this new model, BUT it looks great. Looks very sporty and the design has nothing awkward on it like the lame front fender line on the TL, etc

Although I drive a lexus which is just a fancy toyota, I will always be a Honda/Acura guy and have High hopes for the TLX

IMO, when i was searching for cars, the Acura beat Lexus is almost every category I wanted except for HP which the TSX/TL are almost matched with the IS250/350 give or take 5-10hp. Other than that, it was pretty much preference from there whether I wanted FWD/AWD or RWD/AWD. The lexus really just beat it in price. The TLX if priced competitively will be in the same class as the IS with out a doubt and will be a pretty close ringer

I'll root for Acura when Acura dealers finally get what they've wanted for 20+ years: A RWD V8 sedan to compete with the big boys.

Only thing I never like about Acura is the interior. Never find them attractive. Too much Honda like

Best days for Acura are over 20+yrs ago when they had the Legend and NSX.

They are way behind Hyundai/Kia nowadays even for entry level luxury from a non-premium brand.

I was doing some research and during the 3G days of the TL.......Acura was selling that car at 60-77k units per year. They managed to carve out a considerable niche in a very competitive segment that included the Infiniti G, Audi A4, 3 Series, and IS. I think they actually finished 2nd to only the 3 Series in it's segment.

The G,3 Series,A4,S60,ATS,IS segment is where Acura have the biggest chance when it comes to their sedans. This is the segment that they did very well in and could do very well in again. I am rooting for the TLX to finish top 3. I would love to see the 'end year sales' by 2015 end to read
Lexus IS
Bmw 3 Series
Acura TLX.
I don't "root" for car companies. It really doesn't matter to me how well a car sells. If it's a good car, and I'm in the market, I'll consider it.

I had a 2nd Gen TL, and it served me very well before my IS.

Maybe an IS250 beats a TL in price, but I don't think an IS 350 is beating either of those Acuras in price; and certainly not the TSX. The IS and TL, to me, just aren't directly comparable. IS/TSX maybe; but again, I don't see getting an IS cheaper than a TSX.
