Stupid question but why no big turbo diesel in the LX? I've been in older Land Cruisers with the 6-cylinder 4.2 diesel, the torque is amazing and the fuel consumption would be half that of the petrol version. There's also a V8 diesel in the latest LC.

And I have driven LC V8 diesel.. mpg is much better but it cant hold a candle to V8 petrol engine.
