Because, basically the Infniti FX (now QX) is a rear wheel drive platform, with a "massaged" power plant, that has, and keeps its sporting roots. Ever driven say an FX 35? As much as I appreciate Lexus, we have a GS 350, and have had several RX's, both the Murano I had, and now the Infiniti handle much better than the SUV offerings from Lexus. I even tried an RX F-Sport, the Infinti beat it hands down on interior, power, and handling. The FX (QX70) interior is a real treat, although I will admit if the new Mo looks that good, it will definitely give the FX (QX) a good run.

The pursuit of F
Could be a "Mid-size Juke", especially at the rear. Shows its family resemblance. Murano has always been a little too swoopy and bulbous for me. The trend continues, though this will look killer in black.

It Probably Won't Happen, But Here's the 2015 Nissan Murano in Rendered Cabriolet Guise
http://www.carscoops.com/2014/04/it-...here-2015.html
You still have plenty of time to buy the most bizarre convertible currently offered for sale in the U.S. right now – the $41,995 (MSRP) Murano CrossCabriolet, and somehow, we don't think you'll have to join a queue to obtain one…
From what we understand, Nissan has no intentions to create a second generation CrossCabriolet, but that didn't deter Photoshop operatives from chopping the roof and rear doors off the newly announced 2015 Murano Mk3 to imagine the figurine of a soft-top variant.
At least in this rendered version, which comes to us courtesy of X-Tomi, the edgier 2015 Murano CrossCabriolet looks like a better base to begin with than the more egg-shaped current model.
All of you in favor for a CrossCabriolet replacement can virtually lift your hands up in the comments area below.

I like it. Some may say it's over styled but I think it works. Much better than the 2nd gen.
Nissan has an interesting strategy when it comes to styling models. Half the lineup leans conservative, the other goes for very expressive unique styling. For example the new Rogue is much more conservative than this Murano.

As a previous 2011 LE owner I have to say I love the new one. Looks great and I dig the rear qtr. What I dont like is the BS CVT they use. Its unreliable and problematic. When you add that the the Nissan lower end customer service , for us it became a recipe to TRADE IN . Much happier with our 2013 Sienna limited .
I get family member discounts with deep savings on new Nissans and we still went with the 48k Sienna over the 41k Nissan van

I love that they are revealing it in the Murano 1st-gen orange color. That is the iconic Murano color and part of why the Murano is one of the design leaders in crossover segment.
Nissan is killing it right now. They've overtaken Honda last month and it looks like they have much more momentum with fresher cars and a bigger lineup.
Edit: It's crazy how this is the production version. Looks like a concept car, even in the interior.

Cool looking redesign! It really looks more like a concept than a finished product. Who would have thought this would take place with a Murano! Totally love the clean and symetric dashboard and centerstack. But still can't get used to Nissan's buck-tooth V-grille.
