Looks quite lovely, which I can't say for the next Hilux based on new spy shots. I hope Toyota was more cautious with the next Tacoma design. Nissan seems to doing well with design lately and slowly danced away from the cost-cutting of 2 generations ago.

I've heard from and observed commentary by a few individuals across the web that had seen the 2016 Titan (Tundra+F-150...), 2015 Murano, and 2015 Maxima, that also claimed they saw a "new" Frontier. At first I assumed it was some expected heavy placeholder facelift and not much concern.

Upon seeing this teaser and their description of what they saw in May and September of 2013, it's clearly close to what's above in that teaser. Might be a concept truck, previewing a 2015 calendar year production version.

Toyota needs to get it going and get their next Tacoma out by no later than fall 2015. Ford has their reasons I'm sure, especially with the mighty P552. If I hate the new Hilux upon debut, then the Navara just might do as a pickup.

Default Nissan Teases All-New Pickup Truck One More Time in New Video

Following Monday’s teaser photo, Nissan has released a video of its upcoming pickup truck that will be revealed on June 11. Most likely featuring the all-new Navara/Frontier mid-size pickup truck, the video places an emphasis on durability and includes images from various testing phases.

Nissan says the all-new pickup has undergone 1,000,000 kilometers (621,371 miles) of testing in real-world conditions, as well as more than 40,000 tests for proven quality. We can’t figure out much of the vehicle’s design from this video other than it features a generous chrome grille and chrome fog lights surrounds.

More details and possibly leaked images should follow in the coming days as we get closer to the reveal date.

Default 2015 Nissan Navara / Frontier Unmasked in Thailand!

It turns out it was the 2015 Navara/Frontier that Nissan was hiding under semi-translucent covers. While still not officially revealed, we found a couple of unofficial photos of the new pickup, which was spotted completely uncovered in Thailand.

We no longer have to wait for the June 11 debut to see all of the new Navara and its very noticeable LED daytime running lights. The entire front looks quite modern, bearing a close resemblance to the new Nissan Terrano. The back is much more restrained than the bold front, though it’s clearly been freshened up compared to its predecessor.

AutoIndustriya (the source of the photos) says the Navara gets its power from a 2.5-liter diesel with 190 PS and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). It's basically an older Renault unit that has been upgrade over the years and is found throughout Nissan's range of off-roaders and pick-ups.

Introducing the All-New Nissan NP300 Pickup
http://reports.nissan-global.com/EN/?p=15344
The all-new Nissan NP300 is the 12th generation of its hard-working pickup, embodying a rich lineage with 80 years of global pickup truck know-how and legendary reliability.

Nissan Executive Design Director Mamoru Aoki says the starting point of designing the all-new pickup was to ensure customers not only have a vehicle that is reliable, but also modern and stylish.

“Our challenge this time was to figure out how to combine toughness with an attractive exterior design and a smart interior. The new Nissan NP300 is a car that expresses these three elements at the same time,” said Aoki.

In this highly demanding segment, Nissan now offers a pickup that is tough and smart, with new levels of comfort, convenience and advanced technologies presented in a dynamic and modern styling.

Nissan’s signature “V-motion” motif flows from the grille and into the hood through to the massively sculpted fenders.

The all-new model also boasts highly competitive fuel economy, improved acceleration and easier operation, fitted in a lightweight and durable frame.

Nissan Corporate Vice President of Product Planning Keno Kato says one of the key aspects that the engineering team focused on was comfort.

“Customers today really need comfort, but comfort in any road condition, in any situation, that’s not so easy,” said Kato.

“It was tested in various markets, various road conditions. Key for comfort is a comfortable interior, supported by zero-gravity seats”.

The NP300 will be introduced with many features that are a first in the one-tonne pickup segment, including LED Head lamps, rear ventilation for passengers in the backseat as well as push button engine start key.

Agree, but at least it is not as ugly as the Toyota Tundra exterior "refresh."

To each his own, to me the "new" Tundra is a stylistic mess. I will agree the monotone color scheme posted above helps, but still can't fix it.

Yes to each his own.

I think the current Titan is a huge mess. Sales numbers also backs this up.

Default Nissan Navara-based SUV coming next year - report

Will likely compete with the Chevrolet Trailblazer and Ford Everest

Nissan Navara Chief Engineer Takashi Fukui has revealed the company is working on a Navara-based SUV.

Speaking to The Motor Report, Fukui said the model is "in the works" and should be launched sometime next year. Fukui declined to go into specifics but the SUV will likely compete with other pickup-based models like the Chevrolet Trailblazer and Ford Everest.

Engine options remain unconfirmed but the Navara can be equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine or a 2.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that has outputs of 163 PS (120 kW) and190 PS (140 kW).

i would think it would compete with IMV vehicles (Fortuner in this case), not some Chevy or Ford :-).

Looks good, new and stylish... much better than Hilux. Of course, who knows how many buy that for looks anyway.
