What cars have Forward Collision Braking System
I'm looking to find out what car companies offer Forward Collision Braking System.
I know Subaru has the Eyesight feature which works well at lower speeds but I want to consider other cars before jumping in.
Any 2015 cars or suvs worth waiting for ?
TIA

My 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee has it. Lexus also has it as an option. I turned it off on the Jeep.

The idea is good. If you are distracted by something (and people have a lot of distractions nowadays) and it thinks a collision is imminent it warns you with a sound to get your attention and ultimately will brake for you to slow the vehicle down if you don't react. Issue is we got a lot of false alarms on the Jeep, including a couple times where it slammed on the brakes with nothing in front of us. I know thats happened to Lexus owners too. Technology thats not quite there yet IMHO.

The reality is, things like texting, infotainment, etc aren't going anywhere. We're going to need technologies like this that mitigate those factors.

IMO, the best protection from those who are unfit to drive is an enforced license-suspension. Get caught driving without one and you go to prison. I personally don't think that auto companies should have to spend time, money, and resources developing and equipping new cars with an ever-increasing number of electronic safety-mammies........if anything, we have more of them in our cars NOW than a responsible driver needs. And we (the car-buying customers) are the ones ultimately paying for all of that in new-car prices.

There aren't enough police in the world to enforce such a law in any meaningful or impactful way. People are going to drive distracted.
They're spending time developing safety features people want to buy in their cars. That's what they do. If people didn't want these technologies they wouldn't be developing them.

Not sure what people find in pre collision systems ? The system will not save your life, it may help you avoid a little fender bender, but if you keep your eyes on the road, you can do it yourself.
I have pre collision in my 13' GS350, and it's turned off. The system was nothing but nightmare. Think about it, why of all the safety options, car manufacturers only let you disable the PCS system? and not your airbags, abs..ect ?
