Lexus has produced a few exciting, performance-oriented commercials in the past. Look at this...

And who doesn't love "Something Wicked This Way Comes"?...

I am not a fan of the commercial either. I think its kind of weak. The guy making out with the chick that shows just a glimpse of the RCF was lame. The dude with the Afro looking at the LFA just seemed weird ( his expession made it seem like he wanted to eat the car not drive it lol). And the clown at the train track grinding his teeth to get going was even more lame. I love Lexus and I love the F brand, but come on ....... we can do better than this .To make matters worse the RCF was the only true F car available ( and its still not out), the GS and IS are F sport ( not true F performance vehicles) and the LFA is a dead fairy tale. I think they should have dropped the ISF in there to have more real F cars . All in all I think it was a flop

damning with faint praise.

Now if you're targeting the 20-something who wants to buy the Lexus no matter what, only to have it repossessed 8 months later by Lizard Lick towing, then yeah, this is the right commercial for that demo. Because, hey... They had a Lexus for 8 months!
LOL

QED. i think we can safely say this ad is poor at best, and insulting at worst.

oh they'll get noticed...

maybe in intent, not in execution.

Absolutely. This commercial is MUCH better-done than the OP. :thumb up: It focuses on the car, not a young couple getting it on in the rain or a rowdy bunch of young guys in the back seat.

^ the OP wasn't really about one specific car though, but rather a brand and how it makes people feel. In this case the invigorating drive of these cars is similar to the sensation you get making out with someone in the rain
