Latest rumor says the LS will start with a new 3.0L turbo, LC hybrid 3.5 v6, and the GSF's V8.

Base price 95k, which excites me since now they're playing in a completely different league.

At 95k were moving on up I guess. This is going to be half to be done really well as its entering into a really competitive landscape where even the largest and best players are having issues moving these monsters

Are there any wild guesses as to the power output of the turbo 6? 330HP maybe.....? I guess this motor will also find itself in the next gen GS and IS as well.

I have no clue but lets just take a stab at whats possible.

Todays release on the new S class Inline motors from Benz
3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six, with its electric motor/generator, electric turbocharger, electric water pump and electric AC compressor, is a thoroughly advanced contraption that promises more than408 horsepower and370 lb-ft of torque. Courtersy of Jalopnik

Current BMW 740i
322 hps 330 lb-ft

So round about guess somewhere in between those 2 numbers to remain competitive in the same weight class
or if the power # is less then the bimmer then it could be a lighter vehicle.
or could be just less powerful then both to make the F versions more appealing. WHO KNOWS

I think the most interesting thing is the 3 liter turbo that is rumored for the LS. Assuming this 3 liter turbo was designed in tandem with the 2 liter turbo that's already in the IS, RC, and GS, we can expect port and direct injection on that motor. With the 2 liter turbo putting out 241 HP and about 60HP per cylinder, a 3 liter 6 cylinder turbo should do about 360HP. A 360HP 3 liter turbo in an RC 300t would be pretty awesome.

We shall see. This can go the way of the GSF and RCF where the intial orders will be at MSRP, and then everyone buys them at the end of the year with a 20% discount. However I suspect Lexus upping the price game, the tech design will be up to par, and Toyota Financial will be ready with attractive lease deals.

Ohh man, a turbo 6 I won't buy, a hybrid I won't look at, and same old 5.0 from every other F. And 95k? I would look at every other flagship before shopping for this one :/

The tail lights reminds me too much of the Avalon. At $95k, gives me good reason to wait a few years to lease a used one.

Given the way the competition is going, I'd hope it's closer to 400.

I suspect it'll be worth the price, but yes they better have those lease deals ready.

The 3 liter turbo engines from Infiniti, Lincoln, and Cadillac are at 400 hp. There is no reason that Lexus should not match those. More important is the torque level which should also be around 400 lb. ft.
