The Technology behind the 2015 Lexus NX Models
Lexus has long been a leading company in vehicle technology. As the automobile world grows more and more technologically advanced, Lexus does not disappoint. In the case of the 2015 Lexus NX 200t and Lexus NX 300h, Lexus brings cutting-edge technology to the compact crossover.
200t vs 300h
The Lexus NX 200t and 300h are both compact crossover vehicles. However, the 300h is a hybrid vehicle with electric motor assist, adding a fuel efficiency bonus to an already great vehicle.
Safety Features
The Lexus NX 200t and 300h have all of the standard safety features such as anti-lock breaks, front and rear head airbags, child safety locks, and daytime running lights. As most new automobiles, the NX is also equipped with a rear view camera, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and lane centering technology.
More cutting-edge, the Lexus NX 200t also has the Panoramic View Monitor, making it the first Lexus vehicle to use this technology. The Panoramic View Monitor combines video taken from four cameras on the vehicle, mounted on the front and rear that creates a full 360-degree image of the area surrounding the car. This feature allows detection of vehicles, children, animals, and other obstacles on all sides of the car. If the system becomes aware of an obstacle becoming a threat, it will send an alert to the driver and potentially take action with the automated braking system.
