As always, the only Infinitis worth taking a look at are the entry-level sedan/coupe. It used to be G35 sedan/coupe, then G37 sedan/coupe, and now Q50/Q60.

The rest of their lineup is a joke.

The 4-series did, although it didn't come at the mid-life cycle update of the sedan. You can blame this situation on Johan de Nysschen scrapping the original next-generation Q60 that was near production, which caused a lot of rework. All for the better if the previous design really was that bad.

The C-class coupe/sedan, RC/IS, 4-series/3-series, A5/A4 all share identical interior designs so it makes sense that the Q60/Q50 would follow suit. Unfortunately, I don't find the interior design of these Infinitis to be appealing. The dash design is very vertical and not that appealing to the eye. The Germans, on the other hand, have more horizontally-stretched designs which make the cabin appear wider and more appealing.

The Infiniti M35/M45 were very nice, nicer then the Lexus GS in most areas, the Q70 is pretty nice if you can get over its bland jelly bean styling that looks way too close to the Q50. I don't know about this new coupe, the styling just seems off and chunky too me from the pictures, not as well done as the G35 coupe. Maybe it looks better in person.

only other company that does this is MB, and it sucks there too. Spend little bit more money on development, these are luxury cars.

I do hope they break that cycle. The QX60 and QX80 have been doing just fine for themselves but the sedans need work. Let's hope the new generation arrives with proper styling and refinement.

That's a pretty ignorant thing to say. Do you know how much money it costs to develop a unique exterior with all new powertrains? That's a TON of money for a model that's not all new. Much like the GLE coupe, I doubt the Q60 is going to have a very long life cycle as the Q50 that this based on will be ready for its next generation in just 4-5 years.

BMW's X4 and Benz's GLE Coupe will have particularly short lifecycles due to being introduced at their donor car's facelift debut and this Q60 will have a similar situation going on (if not as extreme).

Remember, Infiniti is an under resourced luxury brand.

I am happier that they spent the money on the new engines, especially the 400 HP TT 3L V6 than on another dashboard.

This coupe will be a welcome addition to the market. Combine the coupe with the small SUV they have coming and we will see a real pop in their sales numbers.

Imagine LC coming with 2015 Lexus LS interior... what would you say? Actually, LS interior is a lot newer that the cues that GLE is using, some of which are very, very old.

It is our money, we should demand more. If GLE isnt worth it for them to engineer properly, then we should say it is not good enough for us to purchase? Cant be all about bean counters. Too bad, since exterior is very nice looking and a lot of effort went there.

The LS is on its third update and the new one is going to be unveiled next year, so bad example. The GLE Coupe is using the basic interior from the 2013 ML (now GLE) on which it is based. This is why the standard GLE SUV looks the exact same inside. It just received its mid-cycle facelift. Similarly, the BMW X4 is using the interior from the 2011 BMW X3 for the exact same reason.

If you say you don't like what they did that's one thing, but to insinuate there was very little development money spent is a stretch. If anything I would've rather just had Mercedes wait ~2 years until the next generation GLE is due. Instead we have their dumb marketing team playing it off like this vehicle is all new.

The RCF is also barely faster than the more pedestrian 435/440. This Infiniti will probably cost less, be faster, and more tuner friendly.

The new compact and lightweight 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine is the most advanced V6 engine that Infiniti has ever offered, striking and ideal balance between drivability, efficiency, and performance.
