Should pack at least 500hp to compete with the Germans and the RC-F, too bad it's not a sedan and no V8...

The resemblance between the escalade and ats is uncanny

The hood/dashboard combo also looks too short for an I-6. Those suckers are LONG. I agree TTV6 is most likely.

Yep- there's absolutely not an I6 hiding under there.

Not to me they don't. Minor visual changes. I took the CTS-V over the weekend, it pick up speed and handles very well, a bit rough. What I hated the most is the NAV, and overall interior design, IMO It just so outdated.

Probably the 3.6L V6 TwinTurbo from the CTS VSport albeit tuned for a little more power

I used to like the ATS, but it looks like GM is just falling into their same old ways again.

They will want to be careful not to make the power output close to CTS-V, so I think 500hp is the goal here.

Current CTS-V is around 556hp and next will likely be between 556-600hp. 425-500hp in the ATS-V wouldn't really be stepping on toes

I was being sarcastic here.
BTW, 501hp is a good number. They should go for that.

my bad, damn text connotations
450-500hp should be the new 'norm' relatively soon with entry level core models, C63 AMG, RC F seem to be paving the way. A Jaguar XE-RS, ATS-V would be right in the thick of it too. M4 would seemingly be one of the lower hp models in it's competitive set granted it has a weight advantage
