Red face Hot hot heat

I own a 2002 Lexus ES. It originally came from FL so the heated seat option was switched out for the rising viser on the back window. However there have been many times where the lower portion of the drivers seat where your lower back would be, gets extremely hot. Hot to the point where I have to lean forward and move. How is this possible?? I don't have heated seats...HELP!

are you joking? No this is not and Im not slow either so....I am talking about one very specific portion of the seat while it is being sat in and the rest of the seat remains cool. I have had other people experience it as well. It is many many many degrees hotter then anything around it. Hot to the touch. How exactly does the sun heat a seat while im sitting in it? Stupid reply but thanks anyway

Hey now, no need to get fired up. Take it to a mechanic.

How does the recline feature work? Could it be the motor in the bottom of the seat has some odd power draw and is overheating transferring the heat to that part of the seat? That's the only thing I can think of if you're sitting in it and it doesn't have heated options.

You might try posting this on the ES300/330 forum. There might be some owners over there with a similar problem or solution.
