I think it's funny how people say Grand Cherokees have a lot of problems. It was the early 2014s that had issues. Now they are relatively ok I'd say. I know of 3 people that have '14 GCs and absolutely love them. Two of which, came from vehicles that always had issues and were never pleased with anything.

My 2014 has been good, but I post on the Jeep forums. Grand Cherokees have a lot of problems. Comparing posting there to posting say, here, or on other auto forums, its pretty clear...there are a LOT of problem threads, alike and different problems across all years. The early 2014s had issues, but there are problems with 2011-2013 vehicles, my 2011 had a lot of small niggley issues.
I love the GC, which explains why after I had a problematic one I tried another one, but the issues are there. People seem to have a unit that has no problems, or one with lots of problems. Inconsistent quality.

Thats a tiny sample size, car problems are reported per 100,000 not per 3.

How about the decades of sub-par reliability that preceded '14?
IMO Volvo interior is just fugly. I hate that weird looking thing plate they have on all of their cars/trucks it just looks like a cheap kia. I have owned a 2004 Volvo S60, and the interior on a 10 year old car is so much better.
Well, the OP stated that he was looking to get rid of his RAV4 because it wasn't luxurious enough. As great at the Mazda is, I don't see how it delivers more luxury than his current RAV4.
Irrelevant were talking about new cars not decade old
I am not comparing the reliability of a 20 year old Jeep to a new one. Jeep and the Chrysler brand have consistently produced cars with sub-par quality for decades, including right out of the showroom. I know its now a "new" Chrysler, but they haven't proven yet that their build quality is any better.

ummmm, that's a little contradictory

Have you compared the two? I have and the Mazda is well ahead in the luxury stakes.
