The World Agrees, Mercedes-Benz Is The Best
#31
I've twice visited the MB factory (if you can call it that) in Stuttgart and one always walk out with some overwhelming impressions. Yes, the quality is mind boggling and the quest for innovation even more astounding, but there are also other impressions that strike you when you try to get a wink of sleep in your centre of the city hotel: the spooky photo's of the damage done by carpet bombing to the factory during wwii and of course MB's little pink frilly dress efforts to downplay their role in weapons manufacturing during said war. What mostly rises up out of the myriad of impressions, is MB's own little wonder planet, which forces them to make more and more cars that fewer and fewer people will be able to afford and even fewer people will be able to maintain.
Maybe the Moers guy should read up on a guy called Henry Ford who had very good contact with reality.
