Eh, still looks like a good way to pay $10-15k too much for a Rav4. BTW the Rav4 has more space in the cargo hold and rear seat area. Granted you get more horsepower and style with the Lexus.
Still for about 35-40k, I'd much rather have a larger 4Runner or Highlander with less options.
If style, interior appointments, and prestige are paramount, then go for the Lexus. I just think it is a **** poor value considering your other options within the Toyota family for utility vehicles.

If you're only focused on value or cannot afford to spend 40k then you should not be looking luxury anything, go find a "deal" somewhere and be happy

"Darth NX" Build Unveil!
Thanks folks for your comments. Regarding value, some folks spend thousands on a watch, clothing, eating out, and so on. It's not my cup of tea, but I can totally relate and respect their choice.
On a more positive note, my "Darth NX" build v1.0 is complete!
See for full details from the link in my signature or below for a couple pics. Thanks!

^^^ haha, here's a quick lesson in Geography and how Toronto is further south than the majority of the northern US states!
Laughs aside, we normally get very little accumulated snow until January where temps more consistently stay below freezing round the clock, but we still normally don't get more than 200 cm (6 ft) of snow in total precipitation for the entire winter - what Buffalo unfortunately got in 1 day a few weeks back in that freak storm. We just got about 10 inches at that time.

oh man those rims and treatment you did are just AWESOME - well done!!!!
the subtle chrome trim you did on the side sills is incredible. lexus take note.
one idea, i think that front lip has too much silver sticking out... maybe black the 'inside' of it and just leave a silver (or chrome) front edge?

Hey, sorry if I was being a hater earlier in this thread.
If you like the styling and interior appointments, well then go for the Lexus. I still do not think mechanical aspect of the Lexus are worth an extra 15k over the Rav4. Give me that sweet-hart 2GR-FE V6, with that great powerband that you give me in the ES350 and RX350.

It is not worth it in a sense that no luxury car is real bargain... but at $35k, I would rather get base NX than loaded Rav4 for $32k.

The Rav 4 is not a vehicle I would ever buy. It's dumpy looking, cheap feeling...to buy one over an NX...totally don't get that unless you couldnt afford the NX.
No more V6 in the Rav anymore either.
