i think CTh is more likely. i doubt he'd even fit in one and would complain about how slow it is.
The CT, though not a sports car, actually handles pretty well, being small and light without much weight on the front end. But, I agree on the drivetrain...it is clearly built for economy, not performance. You're right that he might (?) not fit into one.....it's not designed for NBA-sized guys. And, though I don't know if Clarkson personally would agree, it rides too firmly for my tastes, and lacks typical Lexus sound insulation. But.....Oh, Man, that NuLuxe upholstery.......that's seductive.
The junky old cars were part of the gag. Top Gear is first and foremost an entertainment preposition. Damn funny though.
mm talks about TopGear a lot but I'm convinced he hasn't actually watched an entire episode of TopGear before lol. I've had to explain the mechanics of the humor to him a couple times.
TopGear is a comedy show for car guys...thats what it is. Its not MotorWeek, its not Car & Driver. Their reviews are presented to be entertainment...not to be taken as a hard line automotive review.

Wrong on all three counts. First, I don't really talk about it that much....though I occasionally watch it, it isn't one of my favorite shows (I like their magazine much better, which I get from a friend in Britain). Second, I have watched a number of episodes, though not as much as some other shows. Third, I've been reading and listening to Clarkson for awhile.....I know his humor well, though I sometimes think that he overdoes it sometimes, at the expense of actually talking about the CAR. However, that's his style, and I respect it.

I agree with you on that. It's more or less (but not completely) a televised, younger, somewhat less-civilized version of Click and Clack's (Tom and Ray Magliozzi) CAR TALK. Tom, BTW, passed away recently......RIP. Great Guy.
Let's get back to the NX......since that, along with Clarkson, is the thread-topic. What do you think of the NX? Have you seen or driven one? And, if so, do you agree with Clarkson's assessment of it?
Agreed, seems like a strong competitor for the segment. Certainly more interesting than the RDX, however, with that said, at this price point vanilla may sell better, we shall see.
