all cars get louder as they get older. wear on tires, seals, suspension, engine mounts, etc. all contribute to more noise. all can be reversed/improved, all it takes is $

Even without repairing or replacing parts, warm (especially hot) weather also helps, for reasons which I explained earlier.

They age very well, but nothing lasts forever. Soft rubber seals and door impact points are wear items, and over 13 years with 118,000 miles and multiple owners, they wear. Having to replace some torn or deteriorated weatherstripping on a car that old is not conclusive of its quality. If you want something with less wear, buy a newer one.
How many of them have you had? I've had 6, all from new, two of which I had upwards of 200k miles, altogether I've probably put close to 600,000 miles on Lexus sedans...so I think I've got you beat on the experience front.
Huh? Why does an S550 have 450hp?

600K miles. Guess you have spent a lot on Lexus vehicles and learned... how to own Lexus vehicles.
Have you driven for decades? Chevy? Pontiac? Imports? Huge motor-coaches? Or flown Cessna 152/172/340? I'll tell you about noise.
You don't have anybody beat on any experience front other than spending your time on this forum arguing. Enjoy the "clatter" of your brand new LS. It's been nice buddy.
