Scion iA Announced as Brand’s First Sedan
#61
Toyota should either pull the plug on Scion or move it out of Toyota dealerships and give it the products it needs to thrive. Either way, the iA and iM are the wrong cars at the moment. People are choosing cuvs more and more everyday and this is what Scion should be offering. Instead, customers will be walking into the Scion showroom, look at the cars and walk out with a Toyota.

Between those two vehicles though, it seems like Scion sales will double next year.
Then new small CUV is coming next year... so by 2017, Scion should be well resurrected.

well Yaris is a hatch and this is a sedan... so there is quite a huge difference there... my beef is that it isnt a Toyota. iM is what Scion should do - bring international Toyota's that are not available in the USA.

My guess is that the powers-that-be decided that Scion does not need a sedan, but the Yaris is popular enough here in Canada that it needs a big brother to the Hatchback (or that the Yaris will sell even better with a sedan in the lineup).
But the Yaris Sedan (and Echo before that) has always had at least a passing resemblance to its Hatchback sibling. This new one, however, will obviously look like an adopted child.

Today’s the big day and we’re extremely proud to give you an up-close look at the 2016 Scion iA, the first 4-door sedan to join our vehicle lineup. What you may not know immediately from looking at this car is just how many premium features are offered as standard equipment, so let’s see what different types of features the iA has to offer.
