Excellent price for Hybrid, only $700 more than AWD petrol.

Who wouldnt buy a hybrid if they are not buying base model?

Also a lot of equipment in Rav4 these day...From TSS with all speed cruise control and pre-collision to 360" panoramic parking, LED DRL, LED headlights and LED back lights, color screen between instruments.... pretty much nothing is missing there... unlike original model that missed many things.

This is bad news for the NX 300h, at least here in Europe. Those safety options are not avaliable in NX and the price tag will be about 7-10 000 euro less for the base RAV 4 and probably about 15 k euro for a fully loaded and AWD. I will probably buy the NX anyway, but It will for sure be a bad thing for Lexus Europe.

Rav4 was made practical, lots of space and relatively affordable... NX is made to be sportier, stylish and more luxurious but much less practical and affordable.

RAV4 Hybrid is on my short list when the NX lease is up.

I wanted a NX hybrid but at the time there weren't many available and the cost diff. was a killer.

FWIW, it's $2,800-$3,500 more than the regular RAV4 in Canada. The RAV4 Hybrid Limited crests the $40,000 mark with the Technology Package which includes TSS-P at $40,940 before taxes.

Edit: $2,675 for the Technology Package which includes TSS-P, JBL Synthesis Audio System w/ 11-Speakers in 7 Locations, Birds Eye View Monitor and Front/Rear Parking Assist Sonar (Is this the Intelligent Clearance Sonar?).
