Easily the best looking maxima to date. If this car was assured Japanese reliability, I'd buy one. But given the current trend it will be more of French reliability which is to say, not built to last.

Overall, I like it. A lot. I'm glad it looks "different". I saw the new Murano on the road again today, and it's eye-catching too. I'm glad Nissan has gone rad with their styling. It's a big notch forward, IMO. And it will make other car makers take some chances too. We need more of that.

No, we won't all like it.....but I bet they sell pretty well, because those that do like this will LOVE it (and there will be plenty that like it).

Consumer Reports has tagged several newer Nissan products with below-average reliability.

For sure, it is color-sensitive...............and this was seen when people hated the red-orange color BUT loved the car when they saw it in Blue.

But other than that, I think it looks splendid

P.S.
Interesting

From SL trim, it branches out to either SR or PLATINUM.

I thought the silver model I posted was an SR but it turns out it was just a SL with optional wheels.

I'd say that the 3rd & 4th Generation Maxima's were the best looking.

3rd Gen bring the true 4DSC for Nissan. And the 4th Gen had a great VQ engine.

I would like to know the pros and cons between the SR and PLATINUM.

Now that you mention it, I do see deer antlers! That is the Southern Edition!

Considering how many maximals I see on the road this will be a nice refreshing change. It really does look Mazda like from the side profile.
