Default Evolution of Lexus L-inspired Tail Lights

Lexus' spindle grill is evolving nicely, but what about Lexus' L-shaped tail light lenses?

IMO, Lexus first iteration of their L-shaped tail lights in the 2010 2IS Refresh was the best, or 2nd best to the 2013 3IS?

The 2012 4GS L-shaped tail lights were okay, and neat, but a bit bland, and really smacks of BMW:

The 2013 6ES L-shape was a bit corny?

The 2013 3IS possibly has the best iteration of the Lexus L-inspired tail light lenses?

The 2016 GS F's L-inspired tail lights doesn't look right? The L becomes too thin near the number plate?

2016 4.5GS Refresh "Photoshop", with the thin L-inspired tail lights:

I'm not sure if the 2016 6.5 ES Refresh's L-shaped tail lights looks right either?

The all new 2016 4RX's L-inspired tail light lenses look better than the 2016 GS F and the 2016 6.5ES?

So, perhaps the 2013 3IS, and the 2016 4RX have the two top L-inspired Lexus tail light designs?

You missed the very first one, which is the LS and came out before the BMW "L-shaped" taillights:

The refreshed GS and ES taillights may not look "right" because they are redoing the interior of the lamps while keeping the housing shape the same. This eliminates the need to change and stamping tooling for sheetmetal pieces.

Whereas the newest IS and RX are purpose built designs from the beginning and could better incorporate the design into its overall lighting element.

Similar to how slapping a spindle grille on to midcycle freshened designs have been a little hit or miss, whereas the models newly designed with the spindle from the beginning can look better integrated.

Your years are also off in a lot of the pictures above... GS was new for 2013 model year, IS 2014, etc.

I have liked all Lexus taillights listed above. The weakest I feel is the new IS. The double bottom lines are too thin, fragile, get lost from a distance, and blend together at night. But overall, I think Lexus has played their taillights well recently. I especially like the ES's. Very clean, classy, and easy to define day or night.
