Default ls460. .gs350 or gs350 f sport?

My wife is in the market for a lexus. I bought a brand new 2012 Durango when my 2008 gs350 got totaled. Traded in the garbage Durango last year and got her a 2014 Mazda cx5. She loved it at the time. Now she wants more power and a lexus
We are looking into the 3-3.5k range
For a
Ls460
Gs350
Gs350 f sport
What's the car to stay away from?
Ps we have 2 lil one's

Your wife changed her mind in only one year? The CX-5 is actually a nice small SUV, though not the most refined from a comfort point of view.

Does she just want to move away from an SUV? The LS and GS models you mentioned are sedans....though also available with AWD if you need it. I'm not sure you will find many used GS F-Sport models on the market, particularly with AWD, for the 30-35K range you are looking for. As far as models to stay away from, I'd avoid the early GS300/350 AWD models from the late 2000s (2006-2009)...Consumer Reports gave them a worse-than-average reliability rating, which is unusual for a Lexus product.

The Durango had electric issues. Running taillights wouldn't work and front blinker. Also the tranny was very very unresponsive. Going from a 2008 rwd gs350 to that.i was pretty let down. The only reason I got it was my daughter was on the way and I thought it would be perfect. What a waste of money.
And we are looking into the 2012+ model gs and 2009ish ls460.
Also she wants a sedan. She drives up a hill every day to take the kids to school and the 4 banger cx5 don't cut it. And the seats ain't that good also. But she wanted something small and cute that was good on gas at the time lol.

New GS starts '13. I personally prefer the GS over the LS. I thought I would love the LS but after a few days driving I decided it's not the vehicle for me. You should test them all to see what is right for her/you.
4GS is an excellent sports sedan for the money IMO but the back space is a bit limited. Not the power that cars guys want but it's plenty for me. Make sure you test drive either F Sport or Luxury. They have AVS which makes a significant difference over the base model. Good luck with the search.

The GS and LS are different cars. I've obviously had both the latest GS and LS. I prefer the LS for sure. But, if looking at a 2013+ GS vs a 2009 LS, I would get the GS. HUGE technology difference there If it's a 3GS not a 4GS you're looking at, I would get the LS.

That's the last gen GS, I'd agree. The 4GS is a much better car than the 3GS though.

I disagree. I would take the LS over the GS any day of the week. I like the size, the V8, and comfort. I have all the tech toys I need in my phone which is connected via an aux cord. Plus the LS has something the GS doesn't. The hold button. Best invention ever.

The LS is a great car, obviously I feel that way since I went from a 4GS to an LS, but you give up a LOT of technology going to an older LS, and you give up current Lexus styling which makes the car feel older, out of date, etc. Have you driven a 4GS? Its a great car...
