I am starting to see 1.99 Regular pop up in Metro Atlanta inside the perimeter. I have also seen regular as low as 1.84 up in the north Georgia mountains.
Just filled up the RX for $37. Feels good to be under $40. It's $2.19 for 87. Not bad.
Yeah...$2.19 probably isn't bad for California. Their special regional requirements often make gas more expensive there than in other states because of the cost-ineffectiveness it poses for oil companies.
In my area, right now (NoVA/D.C. suburbs), 87 octane is running around $2 even, give or take a dime or so for cut-rate or more expensive stations. We also get a discount on Shell gas from bonus-points on Giant Food grocery cards.
my area in LA suburbs is still fricking 2.59 for 87.
it's like they're artificially keeping the prices up while oil prices have fallen
been talked about previously but Calis loony laws prevent other states from supplying gas because of Cali specific additives that no one else makes. Cali only has a few refineries and guess whats going to happen if theres a facility turnaround or shutdown - a supply crunch. Believe me if Arizona, Nevada, Oregon would unload gas on Cali for $2.59 they would in a heartbeat which would then collapse the price to a more average level. But that out of state gas is illegal in Cali
I bet the refineries are fine. They purposely cut back on production
I think the volatility in California gas prices is a tool that has been set up by all the greenie weenies running the state. Rig the market to where people start to view gasoline as evil so they'll be conditioned to flock to and quickly adopt new technologies like fuel cells, electric cars, hybrids, etc.

so they cut back in Cali but not the rest of the country? Out of state refineries would love to unload gas on Cali at Cali prices, too bad its illegal for them to do that.
Can I have your gas prices? I'd LOVE to pay under $3.99 a gallon (imp)
Eh, quit your bellyaching. Grand Cayman is only like 20 miles from one end of the island to the other. And I'm sure something like a gutless FJ Land Cruiser convertible or 50mpg diesel VW would get you around fine since there probably isn't a road on the island with a speed limit higher than 50mph
In my area its weird.. Regular is averaging about $1.66/gal and Prem is still $2.50-2.99 for top tier like Shell/Chevron..but Costco premium is $1.96..

LOL touche.. to be honest, it doesn't really exactly help when owning 4 vehicles though, and I litterally drive "all" of them, and the worst offender is my efini Rx7, that thing will empty 1/4 of a tank with one small boost pull in 3rd gear ahahahahahaha..
Worth it though , and by the way, the 50 mph roads here, people don't travel @ 50 mph, more like 70~80 mph, and the normal 40 mph roads, people tend to drive 55~60 mph on them.
