I sure as hell don't. The regular at a 76 station is $4.19 a gallon, at a Chevron, it's $4.21 a gallon, and this is in Pasadena, CA. In Beverly Hills (where I work), the regular at a 76 station is $4.46!
I think gas prices is going to be way over $5 by this summer, and next year is probably gonna be even worse.
How much is your regular gas (or the gas you pay for), and where at?
For me, $4.21 a gallon, for about 19 gallons, translates to about $80 a tank.
I remember when I had my bmw, a few years ago, I paid over $100 for a tank, but I fear that worst times are coming.

and oil companies are posting record profits year after year.
you'd think they could be a little more generous with the price gouging.
the only way to get your money back is to buy stocks in those companies.

I think as soon as oil hits and stays above some trigger point (maybe $150/bbl), we'll see serious drilling of the HUGE domestic oil reserves we have in the U.S. Oil people aren't dumb. They want to maximize the profit on the resource they have. The worries they have are the enviros setting up roadblocks & extra costs and too many govt. incentives to get people to drive electric vehicles.

$3.50 around here.
It's not just the oil companies. It's also our **** poor energy policies and taxes.
The prices you see in California (up to $1 more a gallon than the national average) are a result of their liberal gas tax policies as well as demands for different gas mixtures from the rest of the country.
Funny how the same people that mocked the "Drill, Baby Drill" mantra in the 2008 campaign are now complaining about gas prices.
I'm sure these high prices have nothing to do with all of Obama's drilling moratoriums though.
