Default Dash cam videos

For those who have dash cams installed in their vehicles. Post up some interesting encounters!

here's a close call I had a few days ago. The driver would've hit me if I didn't move out of my lane. Noticed him last minute since he was in my blind spot.

Glad you saw him in time, and were able to avoid a collision with minimal incident. However, he/she wasn't in your blind spot, which is behind the B-piilar in this situation. The nose of the Altima was still visible through the windshield when it crossed the lane boundary, which means the largest part of the car was straight outside the passenger window.

That said, the incident obviously 100% the Altima driver's fault, and had you not been able to avoid a collision, having that video would certainly prove to be handy.

If anything, you were in his blind spot. Nevertheless, he was changing lanes without signaling already and as you caught up to him, he probably didn't even shoulder check. That is a pretty careless driver, an accident waiting for a place to happen. This happens frequently here on the 404, specially heading south in or out of RH or Markham.

Oh, and you're also a left lane hogger and an aggressive driver by trying to tail gate him afterwards.

I don't understand how this makes me a left lane hogger? I admit I was pretty pissed after he did that and gave me a dirty look as he passed me after.

I thought he wanted to merge so I gave him space, he didn't merge until he was approaching another vehicle in the middle lane. and I wanted to catch his plate on camera. I briefly switched over to the right after he slowed down to 90km/h to spite me for honking at him.

I got a cheap cam off ebay, great reviews from everywhere i've looked. it's called the G1W-c. It's hard wired into my car because it has a capacitor instead of a battery so it turns off as soon as you unplug it. It works better than a battery system because I find that the batteries crap out after a period of time which leads to file corruption when the camera turns off.

I've swerved into the next lane a couple times recently. Not proud of my driving.

When I drive on highway though, I always try to keep staggered formation. I always try to stay out of other drivers' blind spots.

Damn, that's just nuts. I've luckily never came across or seen anyone get that pissed off on the road.

I have an old multi camera setup in my Cruiser, so it's not really up to today's HD standards

It does pick up some interesting stuff though
